Upcoming Safety and Risk Management Workshop in Tokyo

Exciting momentum continues for JARUS as we approach the upcoming Safety and Risk Management Workshop in Tokyo from 18–22 May, kindly hosted by the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB).

Regulators from across the globe will come together alongside industry stakeholder representatives, bringing valuable expertise and practical insight to the table. Under the leadership of Joerg Dittrich, participants will collaborate on key priorities shaping the future of UAS operations. A major focus of this workshop will be progressing important updates to the air risk model, alongside advancing a range of work tasks identified and voted on by the National Aviation Authorities represented within JARUS.

This collaborative effort reflects JARUS’ ongoing commitment to staying ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving UAS ecosystem. By working together, members continue to drive global harmonisation, ensuring risk-based, practical, and forward-looking frameworks that support safe and scalable drone operations worldwide.

JARUS membership is open to National Aviation Authorities wishing to join and actively participate – there are no membership fees or subscriptions.

Looking forward to a productive week of collaboration, innovation, and meaningful progress.
